#code4lib changed my life too when dsalo pinged me in channel about some software development jobs at the Library of Congress. I'd been looking for a way in there for a couple years at least and when she let me know about somone at LoC looking for contractors.

Anyhow, I look forward to taking a little day trip up to visit you and ksclarke sometime after you get settled in :-) It's fun having you around in irc!

[...] In light of my recent announcement, I figured I would make sure that the three of you who are reading this — assuming my mother and wife are still following along — have bookmarked the durable URLs. (Durable, at least, to the extent that they will live on after my 9/20 resignation date at UW.) The persistent URL for Technosophia is http://purl.org/net/leftwing/blog. The URL for Technosophia’s feed is http://feeds.feedburner.com/technosophia.
I must have missed that day in English class when we went over "indebted." I desperately looked for validation on Google, hoping to find some rarefied usage or perhaps an alternate spelling in British or Australian English. But alas and alack, you have indeed caught me in flagrante delicto. Seeing as this is the first mistake I've ever made in my lifetime, I would appreciate if we could keep this between us. And surely don't tell my wife; I've got an illusion^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H reputation to uphold.

I stand by "benefitted," though I occasionally do spell it with just one 't'. Noah Webster and the Merriam Bros. back me up on this one, at least: http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/benefitted

Incidentally, a search for "endebted" on OED returns the entry for a library tech-related word: http://dictionary.oed.com/cgi/entry/50074919?

Well, and we've enjoyed having you there! And if you hang out there long enough, perhaps we can fix your spelling, too! (it's "indebted" and benefited"). ;-)
