I desperately looked for validation on Google, hoping to find some rarefied usage or perhaps an alternate spelling in British or Australian English. But alas and alack, you have indeed caught me <em>in flagrante delicto</em>. Seeing as this is the first mistake I've ever made in my lifetime, I would appreciate if we could keep this between us. And surely don't tell my wife; I've got an illusion^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H reputation to uphold. I stand by "benefitted," though I occasionally do spell it with just one 't'.
