Open Source Projects

In addition to the projects that have dedicated pages on τεχνοσοφια — JSONovich Firefox extension, the unAPI WordPress plugin, the OAI-ORE WordPress plugin, the LinkPURL WordPress plugin, and the LinkPURL Firefox extension — I hack on some other open source software projects:

  • Namaste: a Python library for CDL's Namaste specification
  • Dflat: a Python library for CDL's Dflat and ReDD specifications
  • pymarc: a Python library for reading, writing, and modifying bibliographic data in the MARC21, MARC8, and MARCXML formats
  • callnumber: a Perl library for normalizing Library of Congress call numbers and creating ranges of normalized call numbers, which I ported to Python
  • GTFO/c4libbers/attendees: a Python web application that crawled FOAF data for the Linked Data pre-conference at code4lib 2009, used to demonstrate the value of Linked Data
  • Noid.rb, Noidman, and Arkham: Ruby and Rails tools for working with the Archival Resource Key persistent identifier technology
  • xqOAI: an XQuery-based OAI-PMH data provider for MODS and EAD metadata
  • ConferenceKeeper: a Ruby on Rails web application that handles voting and ballots for the code4lib community and its conferences.
