In that case, my thanks to the both of you - you for starting it and Will for taking it on. A truly helpful plugin that makes my life a lot easier.

Thanks to Will specifically for fixing both issues I raised recently, and so quickly too.

I will be making a project donation by way of proper thanks.

Much obliged, Jean-Yves. Though all of the credit goes to Will Ellwood, who took over development of JSONovich a year or so ago.

Hi Michael,

I've raised a second issue in the bugtracker regarding non-validating JSONovich JSON when JSON values include escaped double-quotes.

Thanks for continuing to develop this great tool.

@red and Jean-Yves:

Would you mind raising these as issues on the project's GCode page? http://code.google.com/p/jsonovich/issues/entry

Thanks for the feedback.

Hi,

Thanks for the plugin which I have just been using to help me document the returned values of some restful web services I've implemented.

Would it be possible to add an option to have all keys double quoted, as at present the prettified version ogf the JSON does nto validate and I have to go back into page source to copy and paste chunks and it's therefore quite fiddly

It would be nice, if the message "You need JavaScript on to expand/collapse nodes." would be shown in a notification bar.

[...] While composing this post I ran across the JSONovich extension which was apparently released in mid-December and seems to do similar stuff to JSONView. [...]

I noticed the extension didn't activate for some json that I was getting back. After looking at the response headers, I saw the content type was "text/javascript" instead of "application/json". It would be helpful if we helpful if the user could change the content types to which the extension responds.
